MIPOL2019 in a nutshell

  • The registration will start on March 11th at 11:00 AM.
  • The opening ceremony has been scheduled for March 11th  at 2:00 PM.
  • The closing remarks are expected on for March 13th at  3:00 PM.
  • The official conference language is English.
  • The conference presentations will consist of keynote, invited lectures, oral communications and poster presentations.
  • Keynote lasting 40 min will open sessions.
  • Invited lectures lasting 20 min will follow.
  • Oral communications lasting 15 min will be granted conditional upon abstract submission.
  • Presentations will include a few minutes for discussion.
  • Each participant can be primary author on only one abstract, but can be co-author of multiple ones.
  • All Posters presenters should affix their posters on 11th March immediately after registration. The required mounting material along with the number identifying the poster in the conference proceedings will be provided at the registration desk and displayed on the poster board in the dedicated room.

    Posters will remain affixed throughout the Conference. The preferred poster size is A0 (841 × 1189 mm x mm). At lunchtimes of both days, at least one of the poster Authors should stand by each poster to answer questions by the audience and, in case, the members of the Award Committee.
  • Poster Awards presented by young scientists, that is, PhD students and post-doc fellows, are eligible to participate in the Poster Award competition.
  • Three 500 $ Poster Awards, sponsored by the American Chemical Society journal Biomacromolecules, will be assigned to poster presentations characterized by excellence in research, clarity in presentation, and personal knowledge in a discussion with the Award Committee whose names will be disclosed.
  • Before February 28st presenters who intend to participate in the Poster Award competition are kindly requested to submit a 4-5 slide presentation plus the poster title to the Scientific Committee (mipol2019@unimi.it). Only the participants who will submit this evaluation material will be considered.
  • The congress content will be disseminated through the use of social media, in particular Twitter (@MilanPolymer) and Facebook (Milan Polymer Days - MIPOL2019) platforms.
